THAT's our boy...

We've had a great run of good school pictures for Charlie....until....

I don't know if it was the new school or the new photographer or what, but we got a package of pictures that pretty much look like this one. Hmmm...what parent do you think he's taking after here? Enter said parent. He's almost too talented for me to take sometimes. It's almost annoying. Like, in taking pictures, for example. He always seems to capture the exact perfect moment of Charlie being his absolute sweet, adorable self. He gets the perfect light and makes us all look good. I am always amazed/jealous and think it's kind of unfair that God couldn't have bestowed this particular skill to me, who actually attempts to take 50 million pictures of our family (when they will let me.)

There are these two amazing fig trees in our new backyard. Since I will neither have the time or inclination to be making fig compote (as was so thoughtfully suggested to me somewhat recently) I am glad that Charlie has determined that they are his special "climbing" trees. He loves them and they are not too high off the ground for him to really climb. Joe captured this perfect moment the other day and we decided that this will be our "school" picture for Charlie this fall. So if you ask, this is what you're going to get. Because, THAT's our boy.
