Why yes, that is my 4 1/2 year old inside a humongous nest...
We are now officially two weeks and two days away from meeting this little guy (no 11/11/11 baby for me - we will be going in on November 3rd to be induced unless he decides to make an early appearance!) and I have decided that the term "nesting" - at least for me - really means "going freaking crazy" on a daily basis. If one more person tells me that I should be taking it easy or that I should really slow down, I actually might freak out on them. It's not that I don't know that (thank you very much), it's just that I also happen to know what happens after you have a baby. You don't get sh*% done for months. And I have soooo much sh$& to do. For example, I ordered two really important things from amazon.com today 1) Gardening gloves (because you know, I am really getting all Martha Stewart in our new yard...) and 2) Business Card Holder for Joe (because all of a sudden all of the random business cards he brings home from meetings are driving me up a wall). And I still don't have a Halloween costume. Yes, you heard me - I am going to try to dress up. FOUR. DAYS. BEFORE. I. HAVE. A. BABY. Crazy, yes, I am. going. So, please don't tell me to slow down or take it easy. Just put up with me for the next 16 days. I'm sure I won't be any crazier after I have the baby....
In the meantime, here are a few shots of the baby's room. Which is 97% done thanks so much to the most generous gift from Joe's parents of the beautiful rug we got this past weekend! We still need to put the artwork on the walls but I am not really going to stress about that until it's time to move him in (so I figure I've got at least two months...)
